Sew Unique

I’m very lucky to be a lady of leisure - I’m retired! So I get plenty of time to sew and I absolutely love it! I was taught to sew at school so I had a very basic knowledge when I decided to have a go at making my own clothes in the first lockdown. I made a couple of items (using a very old sewing machine) which didn’t turn out that well but I was bitten by the sewing bug! Over the last couple of years I have ‘grown’ my sewing room into a fabulous space: my happy place😊. Since I started sewing I have learned a lot by watching literally hundreds of YouTube tutorials and, of course, by being a member of the Minerva community! There’s always something new to see and I’m constantly learning from like-minded people. What I love most is that it’s not an ageist community; having recently turned 71, I get so much inspiration from sewists of all ages 😍. Update: I’m overjoyed to have been selected as a Minerva Brand Ambassador!❣️
