Part two of my fun with the stripe linen-cotton-rayon fabric which I was so excited to have enough to make another garment. The yardage left was going to be enough for shorts and I knew just the pair I wanted to make. The pattern I went with is one that I have had all summer and look the end of summer I am getting to it. The pattern is The Sewing Revival’s Mapau Shorts and just so cute.

The description is pull on shorts with elastic back and a flat front. Yes, it does have pockets, front angled ones in fact. Then you can make a self-fabric belt, which I did.

Once again, I did cut this out one layer to get the stripes just right. The shorts are an easy sew, no zipper and back elastic. I went with a size 8 and the fit is good. Yea, to getting this pattern made and having such a cute pair of shorts. Stay tuned for look three!
