I'm reposting the denim jacket I posted last month as an entry for #Scraptember . I made this jacket from two peices of denim that have been in my stash for a while. Neither was big enough to make anything I tried to make on it's own, but when I decided to use them together and colour block I suddenly had options. I'm so pleased with how this jacket turned out and have been wearing it alot recently.

I'm planning another one out of the red velvet I've included in my pictures. This is a curtain fabric and I have been given some good size off cuts by a friend. It has a lovely weight for a jacket and I hope to add some embroidery to it as well. The design I have in mind is a steam punk design including cogs and clock parts in shades of gold. I'm planning to get fabric from Minerva to do the under collar and the inside of the cuffs in the same way I have done them on the denim jacket. I think the Minerva Exclusive POD Locksmith Legacy print will work really well with the embroidery design I have chosen. I have tagged it below along with the fabric I used on this jacket. All I need to do now is order my fabric and set aside some time to make it.

My denim for this jacket wasn't from Minerva, but I have tagged a Minerva denim.
