I'm sharing my newest #MinervaBrandAmbassador make in this gorgeous Minerva Core Range Cotton Voile Fabric in Fuchsia Pink.
I LOVE THIS FABRIC!!
It washes absolutely beautifully and has the perfect soft hand while being structured enough to use for so many projects. And it comes in over 30 colors!
I chose this vibrant fuschia (I love pink) and the color is so pretty! It's exactly like the photos. I wondered if the color would change when I prewashed it and I'm happy to report that it didn't! The color held and actually got a bit more vibrant as it got softer from the wash.
In 100% cotton, this fabric sews and presses so nicely!
For this make, I used my own Baxter shirt pattern which is an oversized button up shirt with a 2 piece collar and a (really cool) button back yoke detail (a little bit of an 80's vibe).
I have seen a few blouses on Pinterest with this type of ribbon detail and I was curious if I could add it to this blouse - so I tried! And...I love the way it turned out. I had some extra D rings from a fanny pack project, so I decided to add them to the end of the ribbon and it was a great way to finish the ribbon detail.
I used a 1 inch wide navy grossgrain ribbon and silver 1" D rings.
I workshopped a bunch of different button options in my local haberdashery shop and finally decided on a light pink transperant type of button. They kind of fade into the fabric which was perfect.
