I made this dress last year in time for Christmas. It’s a burdastyle pattern 127 in the December 2022 issue. I do believe individual patterns from the magazine can be bought from burda.
I used 4 metres of velvet stretch knit fabric in platinum, it has a lovely paisley print that can be subdued or shine in certain light. It has a 95% polyester content and 5% elastane giving it stretch width wise and length wise. Surprisingly easy to sew making sure of the one way nap it came together well. The ruched belt is attached into the side seam with a zip but I could have omitted the zip as it goes on without undoing it. The fit is so good, no gaping and is very comfortable.
I think this would be a great sewing kit paired up with some of the lovely Minerva exclusive stretch velvets!
