Hi everyone Whilst I enjoy doing lots of things, I love anything creative. My grandmother taught me to knit and crochet when I was quite young and my interest in sewing started when I was given a child’s Vulcan sewing machine for my birthday. I made my first dress when I was about 10 and the rest is history! I have updated my machine a few times since then 🤣 and whilst I’ve always made some of my clothes now I’m retired from teaching I have the time to sew whenever I want to! I prefer to make rather than buy ‘ready to wear’ clothes and love a challenge - the more complex and intricate the project the better each becoming a treasured garment with a story to tell! I sew for my family and have made lots of lovely things for my daughter, grandson and partner. I’ve yet to make for my son but he recently put in a request so I’m looking forward to including him too.
