Having sewn only square things since I got my first sewing machine in the early 90’s (curtains, blinds, etc!) I resolved to teach myself dressmaking in lockdown! And I’m hooked - completely 😂 A vintage shirt was my first ever project (I thought it would be easy - SOOOooooo wrong 😂). I have a real penchant for vintage (‘30’s & ‘40’s for preference) or very slouchy and comfy - I don’t appear to have a mid-point! My eldest daughter is not proportioned for RTW, so me learning to sew has been hugely beneficial for her, mostly in adjustments! Mummy mades are not cool enough (yet!), but I’m sure they will be.
