Pattern Sizing: 0-34 (up to a 60″ chest and 62″ hip). I made a size 2.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, but I changed a few minor details.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Helen's Closet has some of the best instructions I've come across. Very detailed.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Likes: This is a TNT pattern for me. I've sewn it 3 times now. I have the fit just right for me and I like the construction method more than other shirt patterns.
Dislikes: I always construct the collar/stand right after doing the burrito yoke. The instructions tell you to do it towards the end but I prefer to do it sooner to omit any potential stretching out of the neckline.
Fabric Used: Minerva Core Range 100% Cotton Poplin Fabric. I used 2 meters of fabric and it was super easy to work with.
Changes/alterations: I shortened the sleeves 2.5 inches. I left off the pocket and topstitching details because I wanted my shirt to look dressier. I took inspiration from a RTW shirt I had seen and added a chevron seaming detail on the yoke. I also reversed the back pleated to be an inverted pleat.
Would you sew it again? Absolutely. This is now my go-to shirt pattern and I'm sure I will sew more.
Conclusion: If you are looking for a really good easy fit shirt pattern with excellent instructions, this is the one for you. I also highly recommend the fabric as it cuts, sews, and presses with ease.
