I’m really, really happy with my final jumpsuit! I broke my rule with this one and wore the jumpsuit out a few times before I got final photos to share. I usually like to wait on wearing a final handmade garment until after I get pictures (in case I get a stain on it).

I’m really happy with the fit and the mods that I made to the sizing. There’s around 1” of ease at the crotch which makes it comfortable but not a crazy low crotch, on me. One area I’ll need to watch is the stress point where the front legs meet (marked with a dot on the pattern pieces). This area may need some more reinforcement, being a stress point.

I found that I enjoy wearing the belt tied on the left (for a looser fit) or tied around on the right (for a tighter fit). When I wear the belt on the left, the fabric is very long. That said, I love being able to wear the belt both ways, so I’m not going to shorten the belt length. I would enjoy adding threaded belt loops (by creating handmade belt loops by knotting thread) at the sides and center back of the jumpsuit. I’d like to add this detail so that the belt covers the seam between the top and bottom of the jumpsuit when worn.

I’ve enjoyed wearing this one so much, I have more Zadie’s planned to make (I’m really enjoying the pattern mods). I think it would be fun to make one with different fabric for the top and the bottom (to look like a shirt and pants, worn together). If you haven’t made a jumpsuit yet, I’d highly recommend you start with this one! The fabric is also quite lovely to work with and to wear.
