Hi Guys! I know, it’s been a while. Well, I’m back to share all about this beautiful silk blouse that I made using the sisterMag Patterns Ruffled Collar Blouse pattern. sisterMag Patterns reached out to me asking if I wanted to give one of their patterns a whirl. Of course I said yes. They have such beautiful patterns in their collection. It was difficult to pick just one pattern that I wanted to make. I finally narrowed it down to 3 and picked the Ruffled Collar Blouse pattern. This blouse is sleeveless with a ruffle neck and is very flowy.
I am a ruffle kind of girl. Give me anything with ruffles and I’m happy. Based on my body measurements, I made a size 16. To be totally honest with you, I will probably go down a size for the next one I make. I did not make any modifications to the pattern and mostly followed the pattern instructions. I say mostly because I read the pattern instructions once and kind of just started sewing. This pattern is a very easy sew and only took me a few hours to make.
This beautiful orange and blue paisley patterned silk crepe de chine fabric caught my eye as soon as I saw it. I can’t think of a time where I used such beautiful fabric to sew something for myself before. The orange is the perfect shade of orange and makes a nice contrast with the blue paisley pattern. Silk is a perfect fabric for the Ruffle Collar Blouse pattern because it has a nice drape and is perfect for a delicate blouse.
If you are looking for a classic blouse pattern, then you should give this pattern a try. SisterMag Patterns also has a very wide range of other patterns to choose from as well. Also, if you want to make something with a gorgeous luxe fabric, then order the Liberty London Lodden Wood Kesington Silk Crepe de Chine Fabric. I still have a little left that I might make into a match skirt. I’ll be sure to share as soon as I do.
Until next time guys! Make sure you follow me on Instagram to keep up with what i'm making! www.soveryjo.com/instagram
