For my #SewnWithNewLook pattern, I chose New Look 6055. It's a cargo pants pattern that is very easy to make. The fabric that I used in the photos, though, is not from Minerva. It's a cotton twill in an olive color. It's very drapey that is a nice match with this pattern. I made a combination between Views A and B.
I did not add any of the tabs (either at the bottom of the pants or the inside tabs to roll them up). I made my usual pants adjustments which are 1) shorten the front crotch seam, 2) add 1" wedge adjustment to the center back seam, and 3) raise the waist in order to compensate for the other adjustments. I also changed the pattern a bit with the elastic at the waist. I made two rows of stitching (instead of 3) and I used 1/2" elastic instead of the 1/4" elastic the pattern calls for. I believe it's more comfortable for with the wider elastic and not so much of it. I did not all any buttons or closures to the leg pockets.
This is an easy to make pattern. And I love this style of casual pants. I think this would also be good in a denim fabric as well.
