Which fabric is the hardest and most difficult to photograph? Black! No matter what type it is, black is still the most furiating color to take photos from. So, all my photos are lightened in computer in order to show the fabric in detail.

This fabric has 4 ways stretch – about 50% widthwise and 40% in length. So, whatever you sew, you should be comfortable and cozy. I really like that it’s not so thin – no panty lines show through. Another tremendous plus is that it doesn't wrinkle. Ideal to take with you to vacation. Black skirt is so versatile and goes with almost everything.
This fabric was easy to cut and sew. I used my overlocker for most of the seams and topstitched the flounce seams with my regular sewing machine. This pattern has no pockets, but I really wanted them. I drew a pocket in size I liked and just added them to the side seams. In retrospect I would either put in zippers or sew the pockets as patch pockets, because the ones I have now, are gaping open a bit. I think it’s due to fact that the top layer isn’t loose enough on me. You live and learn 😊 If these bother me too much, I can just eliminate them. I think I even have small pieces to put on patch pockets. I just can’t live without any pockets, you know.
