When I received this fabric from Minerva, I knew it would be perfect for a summer top. I made Butterick 6814 View A with long sleeves. Apparently, statement sleeves or sleeves that are not just plain are still in style. And I am here for it! I chose this pattern because of it's feminine styling, without being too fussy.

This pattern is very easy to make, and this lightweight shirting is perfect for it. With the small check pattern, I didn't have to concern myself with having to match any checks. The material washes well with no shrinkage. And it sews up beautifully.

I actually made this long sleeve by mistake. I meant to make the short-sleeve version of the top, but forgot to fold the sleeve pattern up for View A. But, I think this will be perfect for wearing indoors during summer heat when the air conditioning is on too high. I'm always cold when I'm out someplace in the summer 😂.

This is a casual, comfy top that can elevate an outfit. I love things that can make you look put together with minimal effort. I the pictures I'm wearing with white pants and printed pants that have the same colors in them. I can highly recommend this fabric and the pattern. Both are terrific!
