I’ve finally sewn up my Helen’s Closet March top that (somewhat embarrassingly) I cut out a year ago when I bought the pattern.
Using literally all the leftover scraps from my Amy jumpsuit I made I was able to make the top with the straight peplum and no neck ties. Scrap buster for the win!!!
Procrastinating for a year does have its downside in that I’m a bit bigger than I was when I cut it out so it’s a bit more snug than I’d planned for, but thanks to the voluminous style it’s still 100% wearable!
I shouldn’t have waited so long to sew it up - mostly I was terribly intimidated by the panels which is so silly because they’re really not hard at all. Lol
I’m definitely going to make another March Top now that I know how easily it goes together!
