Fabric: Jacquard Double Knit
Pattern: Pattern Scout Cozi Jacket

Pattern Scout just released a brand new jacket pattern - The Cozi jacket/hoodie! I'm so excited to share with you my tester version in this fun jacquard double knit fabric. It's super versatile and comfortable - the type of jacket I live in pretty much 3 season out of the year ;-)
The Cozi jacket/hoodie has a relaxed boxy shape and slight dropped shoulder that is very on trend. It comes with 2 views: View A which has a tall collar and wide-elastic hem. View B has a hood with drawstring. Both views close with a very easy to install zipper construction.
I made the View A in this heavy weight viscose blend double knit. It's very similar to a ponte in weight and feel, but the black and white hounds-tooth pattern is knitted into the fabric (jacquard) instead of printed. I love how supple and dense this fabric is, which makes it just perfect for outerwear! I opted out of the elastic hem for a classy look which I love, but to be honest I really struggled with the decision. I think the bomber jacket look of the wide elastic hem would be so cool in this fabric too!
The oversized pockets of Cozi are so easy to sew and roomy enough to hold all the things I need for a walk / outing. I also went with a heavyweight metal zipper and love how the silver zipper teeth compliment the fabric.
