I recently received the Core Range Cotton Sheeting. The sheeting is 2.6 yards wide and very affordable. I thought I would try it as a quilting material and I really loved working with it. It did want to shrink as I ironed it, so I would recommend washing before using. I received the cream color. It is a beautiful neutral cream color that is a very versatile color to mix with many different colors. The fabric is a light weight. You can see a variable thickness in the threads, but the weave feels tight and sewed beautifully. I used the sheeting to make a scrappy baby quilt for a dear friend that just became a grandma! I used the Entropy Quilt Pattern from Squats and Running Stitches. I had so much fun digging through my scraps to find the perfect mix of prints in a rainbow of colors. I used another fabric I received from Minerva for the binding. I used a Robert Kaufman Library of Rarities Book Pages wide quilt backing scrap. The quilt will be off with the grandma tomorrow to the new baby girl. I hope she loves it for years to come.
