I think these trousers turned out exactly the way I hoped they would. 🐆

The Kiva trousers from Fibremood issue 40 are finished, and I absolutely love them. The fit is spot on, with a nicely fitting waistband and all that crazy volume through the legs. The balloon shape really comes alive with this fabric and gives them a fun, slightly dramatic silhouette.

And despite all that volume, they are incredibly comfortable to wear. The little bit of stretch in the corduroy definitely helps, and the fabric has enough structure to keep the shape without making the trousers feel stiff.

Then there is the print. It is definitely not a shy pair of trousers. 😂 The leopard print makes even a very simple outfit stand out, which I love. Add a white top, denim jacket and chunky shoes and suddenly the trousers are doing all the talking.

This was my first make from this base cloth, and I’m very happy with how it turned out. Now I’m even more curious to see what I’ll make from the second piece!
