This is a project that was a long time in the making. The project itself was very quick and easy to make. Getting the fabric took months. I can guess that the problem was that the supplier probably couldn’t get the base fabric and that held everything up. This was ordered in January but received in July. I’m so glad I actually did get it! And the reason I’d chosen another fabric with the same print is because I really didn’t think I was going to get this one.

This fabric is perfect for a lightweight layer on cooler late summer/early Fall mornings. And I LOVE a bold print, so that’s also a plus. It’s easy to care for with washing in cold water and drying on low heat. There wasn’t any fading or colors running.

As far as the pattern is concerned, I made the Love Notions Boyfriend Cardigan (again). After making the jeans with the suiting fabric a few weeks ago, I knew I wanted my next project to be something quick and easy.

This is a project that can be made mostly on the serger. I had made some previous alterations to the pattern after I made it the first time. Rather than using the pattern pieces for the full bust, I had made my own adjustments by adding more width on to the front.

Otherwise, this was straightforward. As I become more intentional about my wardrobe planning and execution, it’s fun to have some things like this. The colors coordinate well with a variety of others.
