Wow! I love this French Terry so much and after wearing this outfit yesterday I got so many compliments. It looks and feels expensive. It's funny when you're working with a high quality fabric, especially a natural fabric, you can tell during the making process that "this is going to be so nice." I definitely had that feeling while making this set.

At 280gsm I'd definitely agree that this is mediam-heavy weight. It could easily be made into a jumper or joggers. But it's not too heavy for a warm weather set like this because of the breathability of the cottton. The front is nice and smooth and the loops on the back are pretty tight and low pile. I used this main fabric for the bands on my tank with no problem. There's just enough elastane to make that possible and they went on well. I even had a few hiccups with the V on my neckband and unpicked it twice before getting it just right. You'd never know because the fabric was durable enough to withstand careful picking.

The pattern is the Fairway Set from Greenstyle. I made the middle length top and removed a half inch between the bust and neckline as is my usual adjustment. The skirt is ithe shortest length option with middle length undershorts attached. I used some scrap athletic knit for the shorts. Honestly, the only trouble I had with this FT is the way the raw edges curled and that is absolutely normal for cotton fabrics. When making the facings and bands I simply used a bit of spray starch in the spots that I needed to lay flat for precision. Other than that, It's a great fabric to work with and wear. Highly recommend.
