1/2 Minerva with McCalls Sewing Pattern Roseacre Blouse & Cotton Voile

I can finally share my version of Roseacre Blouse. This is one of the free patterns for all Minerva’s newsletter subscribers. Minerva with McCall’s created this pattern and I had the pleasure of testing it.

I liked the oversized collar with a ruffle and that was something I was looking for at the time. I chose cotton voile in a beautiful lavender shade that is no longer available (or maybe just not available at the moment). Making this blouse from a light cotton fabric was a safe option for easy and neat sewing. I wanted to get everything neat, especially the ruffle. Choosing the plain fabric was another practical move, because this way all details of the blouse are visible. I’ve used this base cloth several times so far and I knew I couldn’t go wrong with it. Untortunately, I can't remember how much of the fabric I used to make this blouse.
