🌹 The Indo-Western Rose
I am thrilled to finally share my finished Indo-Western Rose outfit! This project has been a massive deep dive into the world of menswear, and I’ve walked away with so much new technical knowledge across these three garments.
The Design Journey 🪷
While there are always details I’d love to refine in future iterations, I am incredibly happy with how the draping turned out. The goal was to create a true shirt-hybrid silhouette that feels both modern and rooted in tradition.
The Research 🌹
This piece is a core part of my MA in Fashion Design. My work has been focused on researching the historical origins of Indo-Western fashion, specifically looking at how to create a perfect equilibrium between British and Indian garment construction.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this silhouette! Does the balance between the two cultures come through for you?
