Spending time near the ocean in a me made make has become one of my favorite pass times! I made this two-piece stretch lace cover up set for a quick trip to Cancun. I used a super soft ivory stretch lace. The material was easy to sew and perfect for a hot day on the beach. I used New look 6378 for the cover up top and Simplicity 9857 for the pants. I had to make a slight crotch adjustment for the back rise of the pants and shorten the leg length by 3inches. overall both pieces are quick and easy to sew. The set is perfect to be worn together and perfect for wearing as separates. I can envision wearing the top over a sundress for brunch and styling the pants with an oversize blazer for a beach night party. I love adding pieces to my wardrobe that are multifunctional. I will definitely be making these two patterns again.
