Fabric - Dead stock Argyll Wool Coating fabric
Pattern - Friday Pattern Company Ilford jacket.
Whilst I’ve been waiting for my POD fabrics to arrive I’ve been working my way through my stash. I bought this material at the #EndofRollSale in March. It’s a lovely soft 50% wool 50% polyester mix coating weight fabric. At 340 gsm it has a super weight to it for this time of year.
It is still for sale on the Minerva site as a dead stock fabric - so very good value.
I only had about 1.3metres so was concerned that I wouldn’t have enough to cope with matching the very obvious pattern. But it seems to have worked out ok. I even managed a longer length than the other Ilford jackets I’ve made. I put in-seam pockets this time for a change.
Such a bargain from the sale!
