Modifications: For the top pattern I omitted the shoulder straps, extended the length of the bodice by 3inches and added extra boning for support. The caftan pattern I decided to keep the front seam open, extend the front facing with contrast material to match the top.

Sewing tips: When making a corset style top it is important to test the fit and make adjustment to the pattern according to you body. Using extra boning along each seam gives more support especially for people with larger bust. Try to use a heavy duty needle when sewing rigilene boning. Also interface each layer of fabric (lining and main fabric) to give a more structured look to the corset.
