Finally finished my latest McCalls 7325 hack
As I mentioned in my previous post this is such a simple hack and I’m really pleased with it.
The fabric is a John Kaldor Georgette which is slightly sheer but does mean it drapes beautifully.
I lined the bodice using an ivory Georgette but haven’t lined the dress, will just wear a slip as I didn’t want to add any additional bulk to the gathers
I had 3.5 metres of fabric of which I used 3 metres for the lower frill and then played around with the 0.5 for the bodice panels. The rest I used for the upper tier and then played around sleeves.
I had to cut the sleeves in 2 different directions in order to keep the symmetry, luckily the print is such that it doesn’t really matter
