**Minerva Exclusive Flores Forest Organic Cotton Twill X Minerva Tracey Jacket**

Don't let these photos fool you, it was freezing out but what's a little cold for some photos 😄 I got to test Minerva's new Tracey Jacket and I love wearing it! Everytime I wear it, I get compliments on the print. I've been wanting to make a jacket that's versatile and easy to throw on. I find myself wearing this as a topper and plan to wear it as a light jacket when it starts getting warmer in the spring over here.

The Tracey is a boxy, unlined, shirt-style jacket, including a shirt-style collar and cuffs, a front placket for snaps or buttons and two uppder and two lower patch pockets. There's a back yoke and a shirt-tail hem. Sewing the Tracey Jacket was straight forward and involved a lot of topstitching which brings it up a notch in my opinion. I used snaps for mine and not sewing buttonholes was a big time saver, however, I do like how it looks with this fabric.

The pattern calls for medium-heavy weight woven fabrics with recommendations of cotton twill, denim, corduory, wool, gabardine, flannel and canvas. I feel like this jacket might look cool in a slightly lighter weight woven fabric as well, like a tencel twill. I chose to use a Minerva's cotton twill because I loved the print and the structure cotton twill provides and it's easy to sew with. This fabric is awesome! The colors and print are unique and so fun.

If you're looking for a go to jacket, I'd recommend trying the Tracey Jacket out!
