I’ve really been enjoying wearing the finished Remy! The split front is a fun version to make especially if you’re someone like me that collects buttons. The button detail in the pattern is almost like a permanent necklace that comes with the pattern when you wear the top.

Navy is a fun option that I hadn’t tried yet for this pattern. I’ve tended to be drawn to black as a neutral in my wardrobe but I’ll say that I’ve been enjoying veering a bit there with navy as a brighter neutral.

The bottom cuff detail is one that I’ve made and shared about in the past. If you’d like more details there, check out this previous post:

With the previous versions that I’ve made, I think the hem cuff is one of my favorite ways to wear the top. You get the ease of a loose top and the elevated look of the top being brought in at the waist. For the bottom hem cuff detail, I just referenced the Gathered Sleeve Expansion option within the pattern (and mimicked the dimensions from the sleeve cuff to create the bottom hem cuff).

I enjoy rolling up the sleeves a bit when I wear the top. With the sleeve design being fitted, the fabric tends to stay in place after I roll them up. It's been fun to have a few different ways to wear this one top. The fabric is soft and quite nice to wear.

Honestly, I think the hardest part of making this top was deciding which button to use. I decided to go with the gold for a little fancier look, but it was tough to pick one.

Would I make this top again? Well, with the versions that I’ve already made I think you know the answer to that question. One option that I haven’t tried yet is a patchwork, Version 2 top. I have some special scraps of linen in my stash that I've been saving from past projects, so that may be a future inspiration. Have you made a Remy raglan yet?
