Sewing Spree has to be the prefect name for a fabric covered so many cute sewing tools! This exclusive organic canvas is suitable for so many projects. it's heavy enough to use for bags, cushions or craft projects but is also flexible and soft enough to consider for making garments such as jackets or dungaree! I decided to create a work apro. I had the pattern for this wrap over apron for a while, it's the Jazzy Rose Apron from Sew Over It. It's cut from one single piece of fabric, which is joined at the shoulder seams. The outer edges are bound with bias binding for a neat finish. The pattern also has a large pocket on the front, perfect for keeping all your tools close at hand. I pre washed and pressed the canvas before cutting out incase of shrinkage and the stitched using a jeans needle and standard polyester thread. The only addition I made to the pattern was to pipe around the pocket to give a pop of colour and to also add a lable there. I cut the pattern to the size of my measurements but have found it's come up a little big therefore next time I would size down.
Ive worn this apron working in the garden as well as when sewing and also in my salon when workin, it's really a handy coverup and comfortable. The fabric will be hard wearing but doesn't restrict me at all and I definitely use again😊
