Ahhhh! I was so thrilled to receive this beautiful Lady McElroy fabric when it came on the post! The colour is so beautiful and spot on! It is a bit on the pale blush side and so soft!

It does crease easily but I’m usually a linen lover so I’m super happy with fabric that creases and doesn’t bother me.

I did sit on this fabric for such a long time because I couldn’t decide on what to make. And then I realised I had the free M7948 pattern gifted by Minerva! I have always wanted to make it and now I had the perfect fabric. It is such an easy straightforward pattern. Of course the gathering took a while but other than that, the whole dress came together perfectly in an afternoon. Or shall I say…crafternoon?🤣

Dad jokes aside I hope I have a little leftover to make a comfy summer shirt. I’m moving to Australia soon and the summers there are way hotter than here and I’d like a little shirt to use as a cover up when im outdoors. Watch this space to see if I’ve managed to play pattern Tetris!
