My latest make is the London Coat by Tessuti patterns. I received this fabulous boiled wool fabric as a Minerva Ambassador, and spent a long time (longer than I should have, so thanks to the team for their patience) considering what I should make, as I didn't want to make the wrong decision, and I think I can safely say I'm glad I took a little bit longer to decide. The London Coat is a lovely pattern with a slightly unusual construction in that the seams are all overlapped rather than sewn together in the traditional way. This gives a garment with very streamlined seams, no bulk at all. This does mean you need to be careful to mark out the overlap, either with pins or chalk and sew along the edges carefully, but the result is well worth it. I love the design, I get to be a broody winter goth, and warm too! Best of all, there are lovely deep pockets. The coat was finished a while ago but I couldn't get the right time and place for photos, but this weekend I managed to get some shots at the gorgeous Wentbridge House in Darrington.
