I love making my own towels. It allows me to make them the size that I want and I feel like towels with a cotton binding last a lot longer than a store bought towel. The Minerva Core Range Cotton Toweling is so lush! I got the grey and it is a nice soft grey and the toweling is so thick and plush. I needed new kitchen hand towels and made six. I typically have 3 out at a time - one by the sink, one by the dishwasher, and one next to the oven. Six towels is the perfect number so I have two sets - one in use and one in the wash. I also used my leftover toweling to make a coffee and tea station mat. I quilted a cotton woven to the toweling and bound it to make a padded and absorbent mat for my coffee maker to sit on and it has enough area for me to add my sweetener to my cup. Sometimes I spill or splash and having a mat here that's washable is so nice - and keeps my counters clean.
