Designed in 1977 by Sewing Bee's Esmé Young and the Swanky Modes collective, this black lycra disco dress was made throughout the 1980s and is now part of the fashion collection at the V&A.

Sewn from stretchy lycra fabric and held together with D-rings, it hugs every curve of the body and was popular among the disco-going clubbers of the early 80s.
