The sun came out for a few hours today, so I snapped some pics of my latest make!💛

I received 2.6 meters of this gorgeous poplin fabric – a big thank you to Minerva for providing me with this Rose & Hubble cotton! I had a few different ideas for a summery dress in mind and I eventually settled on a V-neck design. With the 2.6 meters of the fabric that is 112 cm wide, I was able to create the bodice + lining, the wide sleeves, and the gathered skirt, which consists of two rectangles, 55 cm in length, that in width add up to approx. 3 times the waist measurement.

As always, prewashing your fabric is recommended. Before cutting into the fabric, I sewed a mockup to test the pattern, for example, I wanted to make sure that there would be no gaping at the neckline. After the first wash, the fabric needed only very little ironing. The bright little pink spots came out just as vibrant as before. The cotton is lightweight, with a very smooth touch. It is thin and therefore perfect for spring and summer dresses, but not see-through.
