Hello Makers! As some of you may know I have been on a journey to use more of the sewing patterns I already have. When I saw this black jeggings fabric from Minerva, I had several ideas. But, since I'm not always a leggings wearer, I decided to use this to make the Eleonore Pull-on Jeans from Jalie.

This is the perfect fabric for a pattern like this. It really does look like denim, but with the comfortable feel and movement of jeggings/leggings. The fabric washes and dries well (without wrinkles). It is not so thin that one might be uncomfortable wearing this out. The perfect fabric, except mine did have a flaw. There is a white line that goes across the back of the leg (you can probably see it in the photos). I will fix that with a black Sharpie (I've done this before 🙄) and everything should be good.

The pattern is a great one if you have it (not sure if it's still available). There are faux pockets and fly in the front. Real pockets are in the back. I also like that there is a yoke which I think gives a good fit to the jeans. The wide waistband makes them comfortable as well. I used 3/4" elastic, although the pattern calls for 1" elastic. It's actually a quick pattern to make. I did this with no alterations. I just chose a size based on my current measurements.

In the pictures I show it with a belt, although there are no belt loops. They can certainly be worn without a belt. I do think I'll make some kind of topper (sweater or knit jacket) from the remaining fabric I have.
