I've finally got my making mojo back and got around to making this lovely dress with fabric I bought last May! The pattern is New Look 6301 and I made view A.

The stretch knit scuba is so easy to work with, it stays absolutely where you put it so it's a dream to cut out and sew.

The pattern was easy to make up and follow. The only hack I did was to add pockets (my main reason for making my own dresses!). I made the size 16 which was right for my measurements, but the back still ended up too wide and I had to put a couple of tucks in to take out the excess fabric.

I'm really pleased with the result and even made a necklace and earrings to go with it!
