A good shirtdress is a wardrobe win. One of my favourite patterns is the Bonn Shirt & Dress from Itch to Stitch Patterns. I was a tester when this pattern originally released in 2016 and have made about 5 versions of this pattern since.

But I wasn't feeling the extra effort required for adding buttonholes. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Any sewist would tell you that sewing buttonholes is easily one of our least favourite tasks. Usually because sewing machines often seem to stop working efficiently whenever buttonholes are required. #itjusthappens #MurphysLawofSewing

So I hacked the pattern to be without the button placket and added some pockets for extra awesomeness too👌🏼

I especially love how the silhouette of this dress is one of its best features and knew this pattern would just be perfect in this amazing Art Gallery fabric. Just look at those sleeve cuffs and that neckline 🤩
