Bonjour everyone, Happy Monday!! Here I am with another post yet again another vacation/resort look, can you tell someone is going through withdrawal? We always take a family vacation every year and I miss that. To compensate I sew, I sew beautiful things hoping to one day pack them in my suit case ready to fly or sail away. Either it sight seeing, dining out, waiting on a ride... I'll do it in style. Back to reality, the reality of this gorgeous two piece set made using this dreamy Viscose Challis. The orange font is such a great contrast to the brown reddish and dark green leaves, there is also a slight accent of yellow, light green and beige. This fabric is gorgeous with a soft hand, it’s of medium weight with an amazing drape which falls nicely on the body. I wanted a vacation chic look and of course went for separate so that I can maximize my wardrobe. For the top I chose McCall’s 7472 view B. It’s a loose fitting button down shirt, which features raglan sleeves and a band collar, this shirt also features a shoulder dart which I found to be such an interesting detail. This pattern offers five more 5 more options with sleeves and collar variations. I particularly like the round hem and how it eases into a side slit. Will I make this again? Yes!! One of the variation offered in the pattern is similar to a shacked and I have been wanting to make one, we’ll see. Last year I purchased a snap and plier kit and I thought this was the perfect project to use it, and oh man am I pleased with the results. I was so excited of the outcome and snapping away that I place the last snap the wrong way (laughed) I am not sure I can remove to get it fed we’ll see. The shorts are made using my so amazing self-drafted pattern, I have that one pattern and modify it as needed to create different looks. Hope you enjoy going on a vacation with me, now time to sip on that Pina Colada! Thanks for reading until next time! @maison_videau_Jeanty
