Hello again! I’m sharing today about my final Jack Tar bag.

I love this bag! It’s the kind of bag that I will use to carry lots of other smaller bags, as funny as that sounds. I put a sweaters quantity of yarn shown in one of the photos and you can see how much more room is still available inside the bag.

One area that I don’t feel I executed perfectly is setting the rivets along the shoulder strap. I used the pattern’s recommended 9 mm rivets but I should have trimmed off a little bit of the post in the rivet before setting them. There is a dimple on the backside of the set rivets. I could have trimmed off some of the post length for a tighter fit. It’s not a huge deal but it’s something I wanted to share that wasn’t perfect on my final bag.

I love these fabrics and highly recommend them!! They aren’t oily or greasy and are quite easy to sew. I would enjoy making this bag again and a heavy denim.

Have you worked with waxed cotton fabrics yet? If so, what have you made? Thank you so much for reading about my #JacktarBag.
