The tablet case made from the book
#handmadestyle is complete and I love it!! Using the fat quarters from the Art Gallery Fabrics bundle was so fun. I love that the fabrics coordinate and are easy to pair together.
I put a little ripstop nylon pouch in the front pocket (made in this post:
https://www.minerva.com/posts/1037281) that holds the charger, a thumb drive and a multiport adapter.
I love how the zipper coordinates with the roofs on the house print. I'm going to add a zipper pull to the zipper tab for easy opening and closing.
I skipped the recommended piping details for this project and used handmade bias tape. I loved the look of linen bias tape and enjoyed making this change to the pattern.
The original pattern had a tiny pocket applied on the back side of the pouch (to hold ear buds). I decided to omit this pocket.
One tip I'll share with this project (that was given to me by a good friend) is to measure your tablet prior to cutting out this project. I didn't have an issue with my iPad fitting inside the pouch but I know each tablet size varies. The zipper length is smaller then the outer width of the pouch so you'll want to pre-measure your tablet to make sure you don't make a pouch that is too small to fit your tablet.
Have you made this tablet case as well? I'd love to hear if you have or have other pouches that you've enjoyed making to organize your electronics.
